Today, press releases by Oprah & Dr OZ’s companies state that Oprah and Dr Oz have launched over 50 lawsuits against companies promoting products using video clips from the Oprah show to suggest that these huge celebrities are endorsing the brands using this tactic.

As in one other blog entry I made, a company called FWM Laboratories of Hollywood, Fla, leads the flock of companies likely involved in the lawsuit. The lawsuit states that these companies had gravely injured these powerful celebrities’s reputations because of the consumer fury that has resulted from these misleading marketing tactics – typically for the free trial supplements. Resveratrol is but one supplement that these aggressive online marketers have leveraged. They have also used similar video footage for other products such as colon cleansing, teeth whitening, cellulite and anti-wrinkle creams.

You can expect the once rapant surge of adsense ads flooding the marketplace to come to a dead stop because of this breaking news. This will be a welcome reprieve for the legitimate manufacturers of resveratrol supplements that have a lot of science and lab testing behind their products and don’t use the resveratrol free trial method. They have complained how this rash of unscrupulous vendors has dampened the market trust of consumers buying quality resveratrol products.

The end result will be beneficial for the resveratrol marketplace because there is so much ongoing resveratrol studies that interest and awareness will continue to grow in the long run, so ethical companies with good products will begin to thrive again.

There has been a lot of bad press about the resveratrol supplement scams offered online and through the Google pay per click ads you see everywhere. Newsweek and many other prominent news organizations are shedding light on the free trial companies that are charging customers credit cards prematurely and not refunding the balances.

As a consequence of the negative press, it has turned into a bit of a buzz kill for the legitimate producers of resveratrol supplements, that offer “pay for” products that often have solid research and proprietary formula behind their offerings. Sales have taken a drop for many of these resveratrol companies that have informative websites with clear contact details and return policies – not just a hyped up sales page with a lot of fine print.

The point to observe is that sharlatans and unethical opportunists always jump on the bandwagon to capture media driven interest initially to make short term profits. It emphasizes that a true interest and market for real products, that are manufactured under quality controlled conditions and even backed by independent labs and doctors/researchers, exists and will continue to thrive in the future.

Because of the inertia created by the voluminous research that is so compelling, scientists from a plethora of backgrounds are researching the attributes of this multi-faceted molecule and its health benefits. Consumers have been given quite a bit to doubt lately, because of the firestorm and backlash against unscrupulous marketers, but the ongoing studies and results of the efficacious properties that seem to be present in resveratrol should give any person, seriously interested in longevity and overall health, pause.

There is certainly more evidence pointing to resveratrol being a naturally beneficial molecule across a diverse landscape of human ailments, than skeptical criticisms warning people to be conservative or ask their physician? Many doctors are not even aware of resveratrol still, and if you haven’t noticed, many are not the healthiest creatures on the planet either! You should trust your own instincts and do your own reading about the potential benefits and make your own decision to try a legitimate resveratrol product.

If in doubt, buy a bottle or package from an established website that sells their own brand or other reputable brands. Remember – you get what you pay for …. so the free trials with the $89/recurring billing is definitely going to be more expensive and more aggravating judging from the comments left on this blog and others recently.

In the most recent issue of Newsweek Magazine, an article on the resveratrol scam perpetrated by unethical companies offering free trials, seemingly promoted by celebrities, exposed the main player involved.

The company in question is FWM Laboratories of Hollywood, Fla., with their main product being Resveratrol Ultra. The company has been given an F rating by the BBB and has several legal suits pending. Considering it is only a 1 year old company with this much bad press, portends a likely quick demise. This is very sad, because a resveratrol scam like this gives the good companies a bad name.

Resveratrol Scam?

Most of the consumer outrage occurs because the small print of the resveratrol free trials deal states that the trial period commences immediately upon applying online and completing the form – not when the product is shipped or even delivered. In evitably consumers are billed the $90 order fee even before they have had a chance to try the product or experience any results.

On top of that, this notorious company makes it difficult for consumers to cancel their orders or get credited back. It is amazing that the company hasn’t had their merchant acount revoked from the banks providing them their merchant credit card accounts with all of the chargebacks?

The celebrities are extremely unhappy about their names been associated with these products as well and are proceeding aggressively against this company to stop the abuse. No celebrities want to be associated with a resveratrol scam like this.

Not all companies offering product samples are nefarious. Many offer legitimate products and offer 24 hour customer service and toll free numbers to their customers for simple cancelation. Market Health, sells a resveratrol product called Resveratrol Select in a proprietary blend which includes green tea – a powerful antioxidant. They have been in business for 7 years and offer 24/7 customer service support. If people don’t want to continue using their products, they refund promptly – consumers have easy and clear access to deactivate at any time.

The most important part of the article really is about avoiding companies with limited sales and hazy manufacturing history. If there is no clear way of communicating directly with the company behind the sales promotion then it is better to avoid these altogether and save yourself the aggravation. Just remember, not all sales on this product are resveratrol scams.

We seem to be getting a lot of comments about the free trial offers and the companies that offer them. Visitors to this blog seem to associate the free sample offers listed on the resveratrol free sample page with this blog and owner?

The vast majority of these offers come from individual marketing companies that are promoting their own products using the free trial method. The idea is to get people using their resveratrol products and then get them on autoship and a monthly credit card billing cycle.

Unfortunately, many of these companies that promote these offers seem to make it difficult for the users to recontact them and cancel any subsequent orders from being shipped and billed if they choose to stop. Consequently, you have some unhappy folks that took the trial, decided not to continue using their resveratrol supplements, but had an unpleasant experience or difficult time cancelling.

We did some research and found a reputable US based company, Market Health, that manufactures an extensive health product line, many of which are sold in brick and mortar stores, has been in existance for over 7 years and offers an iron clad hassle free 90 day money back guarantee on their products – AND offers a FREE trial for their resveratrol product called Resveratrol Select.

Unlike the free trial offers from other companies, Market Health actually provides an 800# and 24/7 customer service so customers can call and cancel at any time – no questions asked. This seems to demonstrate the confidence they have in their products and in their resveratrol supplement.

They claim that Resveratrol Select contains the equivalent amount of resveratrol found in 200 glasses of wine. In addition, their proprietary formula is fortified with Green Tea Extract, a natural antioxidant, to energize metabolism and help with weight loss.

They also include 2 free bonuses with the trial that you get to keep no matter what – an ebook with 71 weight loss tips, and a weight loss visualization audio. In addition, they include Free lifetime membership access to their results-based online fitness program. Another exclusive amongst the free trial offers available!

In all, we haven’t seen or found a better free trial offer on the market combined with a company that practices ethical business where consumers get real value and a real risk free offer.

You can check out the Resveratrol Select website by clicking here.
